Our creative process is centered around listening, collaboration, and community. We begin by listening, gathering stories, sounds, memories, and local knowledge from communities.
Every place has a soundtrack.
Together, we transform those materials into interactive experiences that invite people to explore, reflect, and connect with the places they inhabit.
Whether preserving local history, exploring neighborhood culture, releasing music, or creating new ways to engage with public space, we use sound as a tool for learning, connection, and discovery.

Locative audio transforms neighborhoods into play-spaces, bringing sound, memory, and movement together in real-time. While using the FTR web app, your movement and location set a unique course of discovery, opening up a new world of soundscapes, hidden stories, and hyper-local art.

Discover how sound influences emotion, memory, and the way we experience the world. Participants develop critical listening skills while exploring sound through creative exercises, discussion, and interactive activities.
Field Recording Adventures
Explore tools for capturing the sounds of everyday life, heard and unheard, using phones, portable recorders, or professional audio equipment. Explore neighborhoods through active listening while creating a collection of environmental recordings.
Sound Archives
Turn recordings into living sound archives. Use your collected oral histories, environmental sounds, and community stories to map, gamify, and preserve a living record to engage audiences current and future. (collaborate link)
